From the Road, into the Archive.
We were raised in Colorado and now call Arizona home, so the landscapes of the American West have been the backdrop to much of our life.
What started as photographs taken on road trips, hikes, and weekends away camping slowly became a collection of places we wanted to remember. The desert after a storm, late light on canyon walls, an unexpected view from the side of the road.
Sometimes we’re drawn to dramatic weather or a sweeping view. Other times it’s a tree, a patch of light, or some small detail that makes us stop and pick up the camera.
Westward Archive is a home for those photographs. The collection begins in familiar territory—the deserts, mountains, canyons, and open spaces of the West—but it isn’t meant to stay within any particular boundary. The archive will keep growing wherever the road leads next.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you find a place worth keeping.
